a couple of weeks ago the journalist Luis Quintanilla of Industry asked my views on electoral advertising in Trujillo this season. Some paragraphs of the interview were published in Focus, the Sunday supplement of the newspaper, on 12 September. Then publish the questionnaire in full of questions and my answers.
In your pu nt of view, which of the leading candidates for the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo has been developing a better marketing strategy and why?
No campaign has caught my attention. Most have appealed to resurrect the same phrases and promises populistic ever. No candidate has been the sufficiently creative nte us about your proposals for government.
But there will be a candidate to be better used advertising resources.
Acuña has the advantage of having used his years in office to make his mark by imposing strong blue, red and white-the same as Pilsen Trujillo on poles, walls, panels, uniforms, etc.. También le puede servir para la “guerra sucia”, es decir esparcir una “bola” difamatoria contra un candidato rival que cuando éste se diera cuenta le sería muy difícil contrarrestar. Human beings are more emotional than rational. The elections are and will be a game of sympathy rather than proposals. The APRA for example generates hatreds and attachments Trujillo alike. Many pests spend talking the APRA and the moment of truth make a star by an irrational impulse.
